Having a peaceful palace of solitude can go a long way when it comes to living a stressful life. Learning how to budget your funds efficiently will save you a lot of grief and anguish. These are just a few examples of how to reduce stress, prioritize your life, and live your life more comfortably.
1. Learn How to Budget
When I graduated from college, I was up to my ears in debt. Sure, the excellent job and fancy title were great! But I was so stressed out all the time because of money and bills. I had no clue what I was doing or what I was going to do. I started doing some research, and I learned what I had to learn and pulled myself out of the endless pit of consumer’s debt. There are so many different methods and tools that one can use to break their financial restraints.
2. Invest in Yourself
Improving your skills and knowledge is one of the greatest things one can do for one’s soul. Taking Judo classes every Tuesday and Thursday, or writing classes at your local community college just because you have a passion for it will go a long way to helping you feel fulfilled, needing less and being comfortable with a humble life. Personally, I googled ways to work from home because I am an extreme introvert. I worked for years in retail and as a police officer for three years. I wasn’t satisfied with my life, and I had no peace, I was never comfortable.
I made a change, I set those intentions, and I worked for them, I tried new things, I developed my skills. I was a reserve police officer while I went to college because I wanted to experience that career. I was good at it; I learned some very cool skills, and I was more fulfilled. Trust me, try something you’ve always wanted and you will feel more comfortable in your skin.
3. Feng Shui Your Living Space
Open your space to positive energies and sweep out the negative energy. Feng Shui is the ancient Chinese philosophy that revitalizes the energy flow of your home. Before you scoff and read on, look it up and give it a shot for a month. Trust me; I did the same thing, and now, my tiny apartment is my think tank. Pick nine objects in your home to move to mix things up and work up a sense of observation and perception. It’s amazing.
4. Make Like Minded Friends
Meeting like-minded friends who inspire you and bring out the better version of yourself are the best kind to have. Having toxic friends who drain your vitality will make you feel guilty and uneasy will rob your peace and make your lifestyle an uncomfortable one. Make some like-minded friends who accelerate your personal growth.
5. Adjust Your Schedule
Learning your limits and learning how to do nothing the right way, your way, your quality of life will skyrocket. Reduce your number of commitments and communicate your opinions with conviction. If you want to work from home at 3 AM in your underwear, DO IT! It’s your life, time is the most valuable commodity in your life. Make your life more comfortable and more peaceful but adjusting your personal schedule to suit your needs.
